The Milton Public Library was originally designed as the library for Milton College. The Public Library moved in several years ago in addition to other municipal offices and facilities. When these offices moved to a new facility the opportunity to expand and renovate the library became an exciting vision for a library that will serve the Milton community for generations to come. The capital campaign was launched with 100 Extraordinary Women. What began with 15 supporters quickly grew to 155 women who each pledged a $1,000 for an expanded library. Each women’s name (or the name of someone she wants to honor or remember) is now listed in the new Children’s Storytime Area in one of the most innovative libraries in the state. Additional funds are needed for collection replacement, programming and endowment.
