Why it matters:

Black female students are not only the largest demographic group enrolled at our institution—they are also among the most academically successful. Representing 32.2% of the total student population, and an even more striking 59% of all female students, their presence and impact on campus are significant.

Nearly half (45.1%) maintain a GPA above 3.0, and over 57% of their course grades are in the successful range (A, B, C, or S). Among those who graduate, the majority do so with distinction: 66.5% of Black female graduates earn a GPA of 3.0 or higher. These outcomes clearly demonstrate that, when provided with the right support, Black female students thrive.

However, equity gaps persist. Despite their academic strength and high enrollment, Black female students continue to lag behind their White and Asian peers in key success metrics. This points to systemic barriers outside the classroom that may still be limiting their full potential and access to equitable outcomes.

This is a multi-life changing endeavor, and your help is needed!
