Funding Goal: $100,000

To serve even more of our wonderful community, WCT plans to expand the theatre for additional rehearsal and reception space, a black box theatre space, and a conference room and offices. The 100 Extraordinary Women initiative is the kick-off to a major capital campaign with a $3,000,000 building goal and a $2,500,000 endowment goal. Let’s do something extraordinary for Waukesha.

Waukesha Civic Theatre (WCT) has plans to launch its capital campaign to raise the private funds needed to expand the theatre into the Old Swiss Clock Shop building for additional rehearsal and receptions space, as well as an intimate black box theatre space, a conference room and office space, and to renovate parts of the existing building, including the lobby, to provide even better experience for patrons and students. This is a “once in a lifetime” opportunity that will also have a strong impact on downtown Waukesha.

We are launching the campaign in an exciting way – with 100 Extraordinary Women. All gifts and pledges made as part of this initiative will help us jumpstart the campaign. This program has been used successfully for many nonprofit organizations throughout Wisconsin. And we have exciting news – we have already received a challenge grant of $100,000 from Anne Styza, so every gift from an extraordinary woman will be matched!

We are asking a minimum of 100 women to each donate or pledge $1,000 over 3 years (approximately $333 per year or $28 per month). Each woman can make her payment in one amount, or donate per year (we will send annual reminders). If she wants to make monthly gifts by credit card, this can be done easily on the 100 Extraordinary Women national website www.100extraordinarywomen.com.
